(a) Assistance to the Government of Uruguay in its follow-up, as pro tempore secretariat, of the recommendations of the Third Space Conference of the Americas;

14. Expresses its gratitude to the Government of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay for convening and organizing the Third Space Conference of the Americas and for its efforts to ensure the success of the Conference.
٤١ - يشكر حكومة جمهورية أوروغواي الشرقية على دعوتها وتنظيمها لمؤتمر اﻷمريكتين الثالث المعني بالفضاء ولما بذلته من جهود ﻹنجاحه.

The Committee noted with satisfaction the declared intention of the Government of Uruguay to host the Third Space Conference of the Americas at Punta del Este from 4 to 8 November 1996, which would further promote cooperation in the region.
ولاحظت اللجنة مع الارتياح ما أعلنتــه حكومــة أوروغـــواي من أنها تعتزم استضافة مؤتمر اﻷمريكتين الثالث المعني بالفضاء في بونتا ديل ايستي في الفترة من ٤ إلى ٨ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ٦٩٩١.

I have the honour to write to you with regard to the Third Space Conference of the Americas, which was held at Punta del Este, Uruguay, from 4 to 8 November 1996.
أتشــرف بــأن أكتــب إليكم بشـــأن مؤتمــــر اﻷمريكتين الثالث المعني بالفضاء الذي عُقد في بونتا دل استي، أوروغواي من ٤ إلى ٨ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٦.

The Third Space Conference of the Americas (4-8 November 1996, at Punta del Este, Uruguay) was expected to be a valuable means for pursuing the goals of this Workshop.
ومن المتوقع أن يشكل مؤتمر الأمريكتين الثالث المعني بالفضاء (4-8 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1966) وسيلة قيّمة للعمل على تحقيق أهداف حلقة العمل هذه.

2.6 Mr. Mauricio Fea visited the secretariat in Montevideo and various areas of cooperation between the secretariat and the European Space Agency were explored in detail, particularly ESA support for the Web page of the pro tempore secretariat of the Third Space Conference of the Americas.
٢-٦ زيارة السيد موريسيوفيا لمونتفيديو حيث تم معه دراسة وتعميق مختلف مجالات التعاون بين اﻷمانة والوكالة، ولا سيما مساعدة وكالة الفضاء اﻷوروبية في الصفحة التي ستخصص على شبكة Web لﻷمانة المؤقتة لمؤتمر اﻷمريكتين الثالث المعني بالفضاء.

In the Declaration, the Third Space Conference of the Americas had decided to adopt a plan of action for regional cooperation in space matters, aimed at promoting and strengthening multilateral cooperation programmes in the region (see annex II to the present report).
وفي هذا الاعلان، قرر مؤتمر اﻷمريكتين الثالث المعني بالفضاء اعتماد خطة عمل للتعاون الاقليمي في الشؤون الفضائية، بهـدف ترويـج وتعزيز برامج التعاون المتعدد اﻷطراف في المنطقة )انظر المرفق الثاني لهذا التقرير(.

(c) Letter dated 6 November 1997 from the Permanent Representative of Uruguay to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General, transmitting the report of the pro tempore secretariat of the Third Space Conference of the Americas on its activities during 1997 (A/52/655).
)ج( رسالة مؤرخة ٦ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٧ موجهة إلى اﻷمين العام من الممثل الدائم ﻷوروغواي لدى اﻷمم المتحدة يحيل فيها تقرير اﻷمانة المؤقتة لمؤتمر اﻷمريكتين الثالث المعني بالفضاء بشأن أنشطته خلال عام ١٩٩٧ (A/52/655).

On this basis, two types of action were planned: 1. Action to secure the necessary support for the implementation of some of the projects approved by the committees and the plenary of the Third Space Conference of the Americas; 2. Other action to publicize space-related issues within the region.
وعلى هذا اﻷساس، تم تخطيط نوعين من التدابير: )١( تدابير تهدف إلى الحصول على الدعم اللازم لتنفيذ بعض المشاريع التي وافقت عليها لجان مؤتمر اﻷمريكتين الثالث المعني بالفضاء وجلساته العامة، )٢( تدابير أخرى للتعريف بهذا الموضوع الخاص على الصعيد اﻹقليمي.

The States of Latin America and the Caribbean, in line with the recommendations of the Punta del Este Declaration resulting from the Third Space Conference of the Americas of 1996 and of its Plan of Action, of the UNISPACE II Conference and of Agenda 21 of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992:
