2. The General Assembly reaffirmed the role of the Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Africa in promoting peace, security and disarmament at the regional level and requested the Secretary-General to facilitate closer cooperation between the Regional Centre and the African Union, in particular in the areas of peace, security and disarmament.

At its sixty-seventh session, the General Assembly reaffirmed its decision to convene, in 2016, a third United Nations conference on housing and sustainable urban development (Habitat III) (resolution 67/216).

In resolution 48/218 B of 29 July 1994, the General Assembly reaffirmed its resolution 48/218 A of 23 December 1993, in which it emphasized the need to ensure respect for the separate and distinct roles of internal and external oversight mechanisms, and to strengthen the external oversight mechanisms.
