As further reflected in the statement, under the terms of paragraph 349, the General Assembly would request the Secretary-General to develop improved tools for identifying the cost of activities and outputs and to report to the Assembly at its sixtieth session on options for applying cost-accounting techniques drawing on best international practices.

The President recalled that in accordance with Assembly resolution 58/269 of 23 December 2003, the Assembly had requested the Secretary-General to submit a report at the sixtieth session of the Assembly on the implementation of the resolution and that accordingly agenda item 54 has been included in the draft agenda of the sixtieth session.
أشار الرئيس إلى أنه وفقا لقرار الجمعية العامة 58/269 المؤرخ 23 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الستين تقريرا عن تنفيذ القرار، وعليه فإن البند 54 أدرج في مشروع جدول أعمال الدورة الستين.
