107. The States Parties have recognised that the best way to assure progress in achieving the victim assistance aims of the Convention is to work intensively, on a national basis with relevant States Parties in order to reinforce national ownership and ensure the long-term sustainability of victim assistance efforts.
107- واعترفت الدول الأطراف بأن أفضل طريقة لكفالة التقدم في تحقيق أهداف الاتفاقية في مجال مساعدة الضحايا هي العمل بشكل مكثف، على أساس وطني مع الدول الأطراف المعنية بغية تعزيز السيطرة الوطنية وكفالة استدامة الجهود المبذولة لمساعدة الضحايا على المدى الطويل.

(c) To ensure that victim assistance efforts are integrated with wider development, disability and human rights efforts, and to make best use of opportunities that allow for a holistic approach that encompasses all victims of landmines and explosive remnants of war as well as other people with similar needs;
(ج) التأكد من أن الجهود المبذولة لمساعدة الضحايا أُدمجت في الجهود الأوسع نطاقا المبذولة في مجالات التنمية والإعاقة وحقوق الإنسان، والاستفادة إلى أقصى مدى من الفرص التي تتيح الأخذ بنهج كلي يشمل جميع ضحايا الألغام الأرضية ومخلفات الحروب من المتفجرات، فضلا عن غيرهم من الأشخاص ذوي الاحتياجات المماثلة؛

Since the Nairobi Summit, the UN Mine Action Team and others have increasingly integrated their victim assistance efforts within the broader contexts of disability, healthcare, social services, rehabilitation, reintegration, employment, development, human rights and gender equality, and they have sought to strengthen national capacities in these areas.

(a) The following 20 States Parties used " form J " to volunteer information on victim assistance efforts and needs Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burundi, Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mauritania, Peru, Serbia, South Sudan, Sudan, Thailand, Turkey and Zimbabwe.

165. The States Parties have come to recognise that new developments and understandings, such as the comprehensive manner in which the CRPD records what is required to promote the full and effective participation and inclusion of mine survivors in the social, cultural, economic and political life of their communities, provide a standard by which to measure victim assistance efforts.
