A growing number of administrative and judicial bodies throughout the world are giving effect to the right to a remedy in cases alleging violations of constitutional rights to a sound environment, sometimes relating the guarantee to the right to life or to health and providing a range of remedies to address environmental conditions.

As regards the obligation of States to provide compensation to the victims of violations of the right to life or their families, the Special Rapporteur notes with concern the numerous reports received which indicate that no such compensation is received.
٧٠٤- أما فيما يتعلق بواجب الدول تعويض ضحايا انتهاكات الحق في الحياة أو أسرهم، فإن المقرر الخاص يلاحظ بقلق التقارير العديدة الواردة التي تشير إلى عدم تلقي أية تعويضات.

4.2 The State party notes that enjoyment of a private reputation is a constitutional right at the same level as the right to life or liberty and property, and the law protects such right from slanderous attacks.
4-2 وتلاحظ الدولة الطرف أن التمتع بسمعة شخصية حق دستوري هو بمنزلة الحق في الحياة أو الحرية والملكية، وأن القانون يحمي هذا الحق من كل فرية.
