74. The Act of 5 May 2006 on the right of asylum and additional forms of protection, as subsequently amended, introduced substantial changes to the right of asylum applied in Luxembourg. In particular the Act introduced a new status called " subsidiary protection " , extended its provisions to persecution by agents other than the State and made it possible for applicants for international protection to work under certain specific conditions.
74- أحدث قانون 5 أيار/مايو 2006 المتعلق بالحق في اللجوء والأشكال المكملة للحماية، بصيغته المعدلة فيما بعدُ، تغييراً عميقاً للحق في اللجوء المطبق في لكسمبرغ وذلك بصفة خاصة باستحداث وضع جديد أُطلق عليه " الحماية الفرعية " ، أي وضع الاضطهاد الذي لا تقوم به الدولة في الاعتبار، أو إتاحة إمكانية العمل في ظل ظروف معينة لملتمس الحماية الدولية.

43. In accordance with the Act of 15 December 1980 on the entry, temporary and permanent residence and removal of aliens, a person may also invoke such risks when making an international protection application (asylum application, art. 49/3) or an application for subsidiary protection (art. 49/4) or for a residence permit for medical reasons (art. 9 ter).
