4. Requests the head of the Permanent Secretariat of the Convention to report to the second session of the Conference of the Parties on the status of contributions to, and expenditures from, the Trust Fund and the Special Voluntary Fund;
٤- يرجو من رئيس اﻷمانة الدائمة للاتفاقية أن يقدم تقريراً إلى الدورة الثانية لمؤتمر اﻷطراف عن حالة المساهمات في الصندوق الاستئماني والصندوق الخاص للتبرعات والمصروفات منهما؛

7. Requests the General Assembly to take necessary action to arrange for the Secretary—General to authorize the head of the Interim Secretariat to use the Special Voluntary Fund and the Trust Fund in accordance with paragraphs 5 and 6 above;

The draft resolution before the Assembly decides that the Special Voluntary Fund established pursuant to General Assembly resolution 47/188 may be used by the head of the interim secretariat to assist developing countries affected by desertification and drought to participate in the first conference of the parties to the Convention.
ومشروع القرار المعروض على الجمعية يقرر تخويل رئيس اﻷمانة المؤقتة إمكانية استخدام الصندوق الخاص للتبرعات الذي أنشئ وفقا لقرار الجمعية العامة ٤٧/١٨٨، لمساعدة البلدان المتأثرة من التصحر والجفاف على المشاركة في مؤتمر اﻷطراف اﻷول.
