14. Between September 2011 and March 2012, the CGE, with the assistance of the secretariat, conducted four regional hands-on training workshops that aimed to enhance the capacity of national experts from non-Annex I Parties involved in the process of, and preparation of, national communications, namely:
14- بين أيلول/سبتمبر 2011 وآذار/مارس 2012، عقد فريق الخبراء الاستشاري، بمساعدة من الأمانة، أربعة حلقات عمل تدريبية تطبيقية على الصعيد الإقليمي هدفت إلى تعزيز قدرة الخبراء الوطنيين من الأطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق الأول المشاركين في عملية إعداد البلاغات الوطنية، وهي:

(a) To build the capacity of national experts from non-Annex I Parties in the Asia and Pacific region in conducting vulnerability and adaptation assessments, which are reported under the Convention as part of the national communications;
(أ) بناء قدرة الخبراء الوطنيين من الأطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق الأول في منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ على إجراء تقييمات القابلية للتأثر والتكيف، التي يُبلغ عنها بموجب الاتفاقية في إطار البلاغات الوطنية؛

The LEG also discussed and agreed that for the Asia region the use of national experts from countries that are well advanced, or that had completed their NAPAs, could provide practical experience on the NAPA process and improve the sharing of information between countries in the region.
19- وبخصوص منطقة آسيا، أجرى فريق الخبراء أيضاً مناقشة اتفق فيها على أن استخدام الخبراء الوطنيين من البلدان التي حققت تقدماً كبيراً في برامج عملها الوطنية للتكيف أو استكملتها، يمكن أن يوفر خبرة عملية فيما يتعلق بعملية إعداد برامج العمل الوطنية وتحسين تقاسم المعلومات فيما بين بلدان هذه المنطقة.

10. The fourth and fifth training workshops were aimed at building the capacity of national experts from the Latin America and Caribbean region and the Africa region to undertake mitigation assessment and to report it in their national communications.

The objective of the workshop, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 30 January to 3 February 2012, was to train national experts from the region involved in the preparation of their national GHG inventories.

13. Between April and September 2012, the CGE, with the assistance of the secretariat, conducted four regional hands-on training workshops that aimed to enhance the capacity of national experts from non-Annex I Parties involved in the process of, and preparation of, national communications, namely the following:

Trained a pool of national experts from non-Annex I Parties (316 on-site participants and about 33 online participants on average per day per workshop).
تدريب مجموعة من الخبراء الوطنيين من الأطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق الأول (316 مشاركاً حضروا الحلقات ونحو 33 مشاركاً يومياً في المتوسط في كل حلقة عمل من خلال الإنترنت).

(a) To build the capacity of the national experts of the Africa region to undertake mitigation assessment in the context of non-Annex I national communications by introducing them to recent scientific knowledge, and various tools and methodologies;
(أ) بناء قدرة الخبراء الوطنيين من منطقة أفريقيا على إعداد تقييم التخفيف في سياق البلاغات الوطنية للأطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق الأول عن طريق إطلاعهم على أحدث المعارف العلمية وشتى الأدوات والمنهجيات؛
