قرر المجلس، في مقرره 474(دإ-20) الذي اتخذه في دورته الاستثنائية العشرين المعقودة في كانون الثاني/يناير 2003، أن يتم على سبيل التجربة تمويل مشاركة الخبراء في اجتماعات الخبراء التي يعقدها الأونكتاد من تبرعات خارجة عن الميزانية.

While welcoming this progress, member States also recognized the interrelationship between the short-term solutions (2002-2003) and reaching a long-term solution(s) that would ensure the availability of the necessary resources on a regular basis for financing the participation of experts in UNCTAD expert meetings.
وإذ أعربت الدول الأعضاء عن ترحيبها بهذا التقدم، فقد سلمت أيضا بالعلاقة بين الحلول القصيرة الأجل (2002-2003) والتوصل إلى حل أو حلول طويلة الأجل تكفل توافر الموارد الضرورية على أساس منتظم لتمويل مشاركة الخبراء في اجتماعات الخبراء التي يعقدها الأونكتاد.
