Addressing the United Nations fiftieth anniversary celebrations in New York three years ago, I observed:
عندما تكلمت في الاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية الخمسين ﻹنشاء اﻷمم المتحدة ذكرت ما يلي:

Young people representing hundreds of organizations came from around the world, in addition to those who were participating in the World Summit of Children, in honour of the United Nations fiftieth anniversary celebrations.
وحضر شباب يمثل مئات من المنظمات من جميع أنحاء العالم، باﻹضافة إلى الذين كانوا يشاركون في مؤتمر القمة العالمي من أجل الطفل، بمناسبة إحتفالات الذكرى السنوية الخمسين ﻹنشاء اﻷمم المتحدة.

We are looking forward to close cooperation between that Committee and the Secretariat for the United Nations fiftieth anniversary.

So when we celebrate the United Nations fiftieth anniversary next year, we will be celebrating a maturation of international statesmanship as well.
