1. Rule 4 of the rules of procedure of the United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty provides that:

Rule 80 of the rules of procedure of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and rule 76 of the rules of procedure of the Trade and Development Board provide for the participation of intergovernmental bodies whose activities are relevant to UNCTAD's functions in the deliberations of the Conference, the Board and its subsidiary organs.

27. At its 1st meeting, on 17 May 2010, the Preparatory Committee, upon the proposal of the Co-Chair (Republic of Korea), approved the establishment of Contact Group 2 to review the draft rules of procedure for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012 (agenda item 5).
27 - وافقت اللجنة التحضيرية، بناء على اقتراح الرئيس (جمهورية كوريا)، في جلستها الأولى المعقودة في 17 أيار/مايو 2010، على إنشاء فريق الاتصال الثاني المعني باستعراض مشروع النظام الداخلي لمؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة في عام 2010 (البند 5 من جدول الأعمال).

Recalling further General Assembly resolution 50/100 of 20 December 1995 which, inter alia, endorsed the rules of procedure for the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II) in Istanbul, Turkey from 3 to 14 June 1996, and particularly Rules 62 and 63, on the participation of designated representatives of local authorities and accredited non-governmental organizations in the deliberations of Habitat II,
