(a) Two posts (1 P-5 Senior Political Affairs Officer and 1 P-4 Political Affairs Officer) to be redeployed from the African Union Peacekeeping Support Team to the Office of the Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations (see para. 74 below);

69. Three positions (1 P-5, 1 P-4, 1 General Service (Other level)), which make up the African Union Peacekeeping Support Team component in New York currently funded under general temporary assistance, are proposed to be converted to posts, in view of the continuing and long-term requirement in support of the implementation of the recommendations of the African Union-United Nations Panel (see A/63/767, paras. 84-86).
69 - ويُقترح تحويل ثلاث وظائف (1 ف-5، و 1 ف-4 ، ووظيفة من فئة الخدمات العامة (الرتب الأخرى)) تشكل فريق تقديم الدعم للاتحاد الأفريقي في مجال حفظ السلام في نيويورك، من وظائف تمول حاليا في إطار المساعدة المؤقتة العامة إلى وظائف ثابتة، بالنظر إلى استمرار الاحتياج إلى تلك الوظائف على المدى الطويل لدعم تنفيذ توصيات فريق الاتحاد الأفريقي والأمم المتحدة (انظر A/63/767، الفقرات 84-86).

It would cover the responsibilities currently performed by the five military, two police and one security planners in the African Union Peace and Support Team and the United Nations Planning Team for the African Union Mission in Somalia.
