The Economic and Social Council, taking note of Commission on Human Rights resolution 2002/63 of 25 April 2002, authorizes the Working Group on Indigenous Populations of the SubCommission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights to meet for five working days prior to the fiftyfourth session of the SubCommission.

59. At its fifty-third session, the Sub-Commission, in its resolution 2001/10, requested the Commission on Human Rights to request the Economic and Social Council to authorize the Working Group to meet for five working days prior to the fifty-fourth session of the SubCommission.
