It was stated that the Conference, which was being organized by the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council in cooperation with the Government of Italy and under the auspices of the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Branch, could make a significant contribution to strengthening international cooperation.

IV. Activities of the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council

WSV was particularly active in the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council (ISPAC) to the United Nations crime programme.

3. The Economic and Social Council, in resolution 1993/30 of 27 July 1993, welcomed an initiative by the Government of Italy and the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council to organize an international conference on money-laundering.

It also stated that, during a meeting of the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council, held in Courmayeur, Italy, in November 2003, representatives of non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council attending the meeting had met briefly to plan ancillary meetings at the Congress.

Two publications prepared by the Centre were issued by the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council in 2001: The Rule of Law in the Global Village: Issues of Sovereignty and Universality and Countering Terrorism through International Cooperation.
وقد أعدّ المركز منشورين، قام المجلس الاستشاري الدولي العلمي والفني بإصدارهما في عام 2001: " حكم القانون في القرية الكونية: قضايا السيادة والطابع العالمي ومكافحة الإرهاب من خلال التعاون الدولي " .

Vice-President Waller served as one of the members of the ISPAC Board of Directors for one period; Vice-President Kosovski serves on it currently.
