• States parties in implementing the Convention

Actions by States parties in implementing the Convention were given publicity through Law of the Sea information circulars Nos. 34 and 35.
وجرى التعريف بالإجراءات التي اتخذتها الدول الأطراف لتنفيذ الاتفاقية عن طريق التعميمين الإعلاميين رقم 34 ورقم 35 بشأن قانون البحار.

Acknowledging the efforts made by States parties in implementing the Convention and the Protocols thereto, and recognizing that more efforts are necessary to make full and effective use of those instruments,
وإذ يقرّ بالجهود التي بذلتها الدول الأطراف لتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها وإذ يسلّم بضرورة بذل المزيد من الجهود للاستفادة من تلك الصكوك استفادة تامة وفعّالة،

In accordance with article 32, paragraph 5, of the Convention, the Conference of the Parties shall agree upon how to acquire knowledge on measures taken by States parties in implementing the Convention and difficulties encountered, as well as programmes, plans and practices.
وتقضي الفقرة 5 من المادة 32 من الاتفاقية بأن يتفق مؤتمر الأطراف على كيفية حصوله على المعرفة اللازمة بالتدابير التي اتخذتها الدول الأطراف لتنفيذ الاتفاقية والصعوبات المصادفة في ذلك، وكذلك عن برامجها وخططها وممارساتها.

Aware of the importance of promoting universal adherence to and full implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto, acknowledging the efforts made by States parties in implementing the Convention and the Protocols thereto, and recognizing that more efforts are necessary to make full and effective use of those instruments,
وإذ تدرك أهمية الترويج للانضمام العالمي إلى الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها وتنفيذها على نحو تام، وإذ تقرّ بالجهود التي بذلتها الدول الأطراف لتنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها، وإذ تسلّم بضرورة بذل المزيد من الجهود للاستفادة من تلك الصكوك استفادة تامة وفعَّالة،

Pursuant to article 63, paragraph 5, of the Convention, the Conference is to acquire the necessary knowledge of the measures taken by States parties in implementing the Convention - and the difficulties encountered by them in doing so - through information provided by them and through such supplemental review mechanisms as may be established by the Conference.
وعملا بالمادة 63، الفقرة 5 من الاتفاقية، على المؤتمر أن يكتسب المعرفة اللازمة بالتدابير التي تتخذها الدول الأطراف لتنفيذ الاتفاقية - والصعوبات التي تواجهها في ذلك - من خلال المعلومات التي تقدّمها تلك الدول ومن خلال ما قد ينشئه المؤتمر من آليات استعراض تكميلية.

To perform its functions, the Conference must acquire knowledge of the measures taken by States parties in implementing the Convention and of the difficulties they have encountered in doing so, through information provided by them (art. 63, para. 5).
2- لكي يؤدي المؤتمر وظائفه يجب أن يكتسب المعرفة اللازمة بالتدابير التي اتخذتها الدول الأطراف لتنفيذ الاتفاقية والصعوبات التي واجهتها في سبيل ذلك من خلال ماتوفره من معلومات (المادة 63، الفقرة 5).

For the purpose of achieving those specific objectives, the Conference of the Parties is to acquire the necessary knowledge of the measures taken by States parties in implementing the Convention and the difficulties encountered by them in doing so through information provided by them (art. 32, para. 4).
4- وبغية تحقيق تلك الأهداف المحددة، ينبغي أن يحصل مؤتمر الأطراف على المعرفة اللازمة بالتدابير التي تتخذها الدول الأطراف لتنفيذ الاتفاقية والصعوبات التي تواجهها أثناء القيام بذلك من خلال المعلومات التي تقدّمها (الفقرة 4 من المادة 32).
