Today, on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, we remind States that they have an obligation to protect such individuals and to ensure that they do not face reprisals or intimidation for cooperating with United Nations bodies.
واليوم، وبمناسبة اليوم الدولي لمساندة ضحايا التعذيب، نذكّر الدول بأن عليها التزاماً بحماية مثل هؤلاء الأفراد، وضمان عدم تعرضهم للعمليات الانتقامية أو الترهيب لتعاونهم مع هيئات الأمم المتحدة.

The Committee reminds States that they should submit updated information to it when they locate listed individuals within their territory, in order for this information to be shared and added to the list if appropriate.
تذكّر اللجنة الدول بأن عليها أن تقدم معلومات مستكملة إلى اللجنة عندما تُحدد أن أفرادا مدرجين في القائمة يوجدون على أراضيها، بهدف إتاحة تلك المعلومات وإضافتها إلى القائمة عند الاقتضاء.

The Council reaffirmed the need to combat by all means, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts, and reminded States that they must ensure that any measures taken to combat terrorism comply with all their obligations under international law, in particular international human rights, refugee and humanitarian law.
وأعاد المجلس تأكيده ضرورة مكافحة التهديدات التي يتعرض لها السلم والأمن الدوليان من جراء الأعمال الإرهابية، باستخدام جميع الوسائل وفقا لميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وذكّر الدول بأن عليها كفالة تماشي أي تدابير تتخذها لمكافحة الإرهاب مع جميع ما عليها من واجبات بمقتضى القانون الدولي، بخاصة القانون الدولي المتعلق بحقوق الإنسان وباللاجئين والقانون الإنساني الدولي.

1- تذكّر الدول بأن عليها أن تكفل تمشي أية تدابير تتخذها لمكافحة الإرهاب مع التزاماتها بموجب قانون حقوق الإنسان الدولي، وقانون اللاجئين الدولي والقانون الإنساني الدولي، مع مراعاة ما يتصل بالموضوع من تعليقات واستنتاجات وملاحظات وآراء الهيئات التعاهدية لحقوق الإنسان وتوصيات الإجراءات والآليات الخاصة ذات الصلة للجنة حقوق الإنسان؛
