15. At its first meeting, on 20 November, the Conference elected by acclamation Ambassador Masood Khan (Pakistan) as President.

Before proceeding to the adoption of the report of the Conference for this year, I would take this opportunity to say goodbye on behalf of the Conference and on my own behalf to our distinguished colleague Ambassador Masood Khan, who has been appointed representative of his country, Pakistan, to the People's Republic of China.
