باء- الحق في السلامة الجسدية والعقلية ٦٩ - ٧٩ ١٢

Article 2. All persons have the right to life, physical and mental integrity, liberty, security, work, property and ownership and the right to be protected in the preservation and defence of these rights.
المادة 2: يتمتع جميع الأشخاص بالحق في الحياة وفي السلامة الجسدية والعقلية وفي الحرية والأمن والعمل والامتلاك والملكية والتمتع بالحماية عند الحفاظ على هذه الحقوق والدفاع عنها.

176. Article 22 of the Constitution guarantees the right to life and the right to physical and mental integrity and prohibits the death penalty.
176- تكفل المادة 22 من الدستور الحق في الحياة والحق في السلامة الجسدية والعقلية وتحظر عقوبة الإعدام.

Every precaution should be taken to respect the privacy of the subject, the confidentiality of the patient's information and to minimize the impact of the study on the subject's physical and mental integrity and on the personality of the subject.

2. On 10 October 1997, the Special Representative and the Special Rapporteur on torture transmitted to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran a joint urgent appeal requesting the authorities to ensure that the right to physical and mental integrity of Mohammad Ali Ghasemi, a Tehran district mayor, was protected.
٢- وفي ٠١ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ٧٩٩١، وجه الممثل الخاص والمقرر الخاص المعني بمسألة التعذيب إلى وزير خارجية جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية نداءً ملحاً مشتركاً طلب فيه حماية الحق في السلامة الجسدية والعقلية للسيد محمد علي الجاسمي رئيس أحد أحياء مدينة طهران.

B. Right to physical and mental integrity
)ب( الحق في السلامة الجسدية والعقلية

1. On 24 January 1997 the Special Representative and the Special Rapporteur on torture transmitted to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran a joint urgent appeal requesting that the right to physical and mental integrity of Hojjatoleslam val Muslimin Sheikh Mohammad Amin Ghafoori, his wife and Hojjatoleslam val Muslimin Sayed Hossein Fali be protected.
١ - في ٢٤ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٧، وجﱠه الممثل الخاص والمقرر الخاص المعني بمسألة التعذيب الى وزير خارجية جمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية نداء ملحا مشتركا طلبا فيه حماية الحق في السلامة الجسدية والعقلية لحجة اﻹسلام والمسلمين محمد أمين غفوري وزوجته، وحجة اﻹسلام والمسلمين سيد حسين فالي.

5. On 25 February 1997 the Special Representative sent a new letter to the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Office at Geneva appealing to the Government to ensure that the right to physical and mental integrity of 13 persons arrested in mid-November 1996 in eastern and western Azerbaijan would be protected.
٥ - وفي ٢٥ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٧، وجه الممثل الخاص رسالة أخرى الى الممثل الدائم لجمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية لدى مكتب اﻷمم المتحدة في جنيف مناشدا الحكومة أن تكفل حماية الحق في السلامة الجسدية والعقلية ﻟ ١٣ شخصا ألقي عليهم القبض في منتصف تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٦ في أزيربيجان الشرقية والغربية.

96. The Special Rapporteur saw with his own eyes the marks of blows inflicted on a Zairian women refugee in Umubano with a nail-studded club (see para. 40 above) and was told of many violations of people's physical and mental integrity by members of the Zairian military, the Interahamwe and Hutu militias.
