41. In May 2008, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Naser al Misnad requested the Office of the Special Rapporteur to conduct a national survey similar to the Global Survey.
41 - وفي أيار/مايو 2008، طلبت صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزة بنت ناصر المسند من مكتب المقررة الخاصة أن يجري دراسة استقصائية وطنية مماثلة للدراسة الاستقصائية العالمية.

A number of institutions have therefore been created, most notable among which is the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, headed by Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Misnad.

This Meeting is being held five years after the special session on children, which was convened with the participation of 190 States and a high-level delegation from the State of Qatar, headed by Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Misnad, consort of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

Her position, which was shared by many heads of State or Government, was based on full recognition of the importance of genuine political will and the mobilization of the necessary resources, without which the situation will remain unchanged.

8. In this regard, Amiral Decree No. 53 of 1998 provided for the establishment of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, which is presided over by Her Royal Highness Sheikha Muza bint Nasir al-Musnid, the wife of His Royal Highness Sheikh Kamd bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar.
