Before I conclude, I would like to remind the Assembly that the fruits that have been reaped from the peace agreement reached in Sudan, namely the peace charter with eight rebel factions, include the recent release of five hostages, due mainly to the intervention of the Government of Sudan with those factions that have signed the peace charter.
وقبل أن أختتم ملاحظتى أود أن أذكﱢر الجمعية العامة بأنه كان من ثمار اتفاق السلام الذي تم التوصل إليه في السودان، وأقصد ميثاق السلام الذي وقﱢع مع ثمانية فصائل في حركة التمرد، أن أفرج مؤخرا عن خمسة من الرهائن، ويرجع ذلك أساسا إلى تدخل حكومة السودان مع الفصائل التي وقعت على ميثاق السلام.

As for the other two cases, once again, we see that cooperation by the Government of the Sudan with the International Criminal Court is non-existent, especially on the execution of outstanding arrest warrants.

The mission also expressed the conviction that a solution to the Darfur conflict required justice and reconciliation, and that the Security Council looked to the Government of the Sudan to cooperate with the International Criminal Court.
وأعربت البعثة أيضا عن اقتناعها بأن إيجاد حل للنزاع في دارفور يقتضي العدالة والمصالحة، وبأن مجلس الأمن يتطلع إلى أن تتعاون حكومة السودان مع المحكمة الجنائية الدولية.
