Encourages States to hold meetings or seminars to contribute to the work of the Ad Hoc Committee, in cooperation with, as appropriate, the Division for Social Policy and Development of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Special Rapporteur on Disability of the Commission for Social Development, and non-governmental organizations;

In the wake of the growing attention to these issues, the Division for Social Policy and Development of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, pursuant to General Assembly resolution 67/143, organized the Expert Group Meeting on Neglect, Abuse and Violence of Older Women, which was held from 5 to 7 November 2013, and in 2013 issued the publication Neglect, Abuse and Violence against Older Women.4
23- وإزاء تنامي الاهتمام بهذه المسائل، عقدت شعبة السياسات الاجتماعية والتنمية التابعة لإدارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية، عملاً بقرار الجمعية العامة 67/143، اجتماعا لفريق من الخبراء لمناقشة ما تتعرض له المسنات من ضروب الإهمال والإيذاء والعنف، وذلك في الفترة من 5 إلى 7 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2013، وأصدرت في عام 2013 منشورا بالإنكليزية عن ضروب الإهمال والإيذاء والعنف التي تتعرض لها المسنات(4).
