The President: I now give the floor to His Excellency Mr. Borys Tarasyuk, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its deep concern over the deterioration of the situation in South Ossetia (Georgia).
تعرب وزارة الشؤون الخارجية في أوكرانيا عن قلقها الشديد إزاء تدهور الحالة في أوسيتيا الجنوبية (جورجيا).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine yet again draws attention to the above-mentioned facts of the use of Russian military forces together with terrorist groups against the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of Ukraine, which constitutes serious violations of the Charter of the United Nations, and norms and principles of international law.
لذلك، تسترعي وزارة الشؤون الخارجية في أوكرانيا مرة أخرى الانتباه إلى الوقائع المذكورة أعلاه المتعلّقة باستخدام القوات العسكرية الروسية والجماعات الإرهابية ضد سيادة أوكرانيا وسلامة أراضيها واستقلالها السياسي، الأمر الذي يشكل انتهاكات جسيمة لميثاق الأمم المتحدة ولقواعد القانون الدولي ومبادئه.

" In this connection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine would kindly request the Governments of the Member States of the United Nations to take into account this official information while determining the value of relevant unconfirmed reports from the mass media or any other sources by means of which this anti-Ukrainian campaign is being carried out. "

أتشرف بأن أحيل طيه نسخة من أحدث مذكرة شفوية وجهتها وزارة الشؤون الخارجية في أوكرانيا إلى وزارة خارجية الاتحاد الروسي بشأن استمرار الأعمال العدوانية ضد أوكرانيا (انظر المرفق).

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has sent letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the Security Council requesting them to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of the Ukrainian and other peace-keeping contingents.
ولقد أرسلت وزارة الشؤون الخارجية في أوكرانيا رسالتين إلى كل من اﻷمين العام لﻷمم المتحدة ورئيس مجلس اﻷمن تطلب إليهما اتخاذ خطوات فورية لضمان سلامة وحدات حفظ السلام اﻷوكرانية وغيرها.
