Article 6: Criminalization of the laundering of the proceeds of crime

It has become easier for transnational criminal groups to use the legitimate economy to disguise their operations and to facilitate the rapid transfer of proceeds of crime in order to avoid investigation by law enforcement authorities.
فقد أصبح من الأيسر على الجماعات الإجرامية عبر الوطنية استعمال الاقتصاد المشروع لتمويه عملياتها، واحالة العائدات الاجرامية بسرعة كي تتجنب التحقيق من طرف سلطات إنفاذ القانون.

The Meeting also recommended that States make it possible for the offender to be required to demonstrate the lawful origin of alleged proceeds of crime or property liable to confiscation.
