Report of the Intergovernmental Expert Group Meeting to Develop Guidelines on Justice in Matters involving Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime, held in Vienna on 15 and 16 March 2005
تقرير اجتماع فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المعني بصوغ مبادئ توجيهية بشأن توفير العدالة في المسائل التي تشتمل على الأطفال ضحايا الجريمة والشهود عليها، المنعقد في فيينا في 15 و16 آذار/ مارس 2005

1. Adopts the Guidelines on Justice in Matters involving Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime, annexed to the present resolution, as a useful framework that could assist Member States in enhancing the protection of child victims and witnesses in the criminal justice system;
1 - يعتمد المبادئ التوجيهية بشأن توفير العدالة في المسائل التي تشمل الأطفال ضحايا الجريمة والشهود عليها، المرفقة بهذا القرار، بصفتها إطارا مفيدا يمكن أن يساعد الدول الأعضاء على تعزيز حماية الأطفال الضحايا والشهود في نظام العدالة الجنائية؛

He stated that the Intergovernmental Expert Group Meeting would focus on developing guidelines on Justice in Matters involving child victims and witnesses of crime, taking into account any relevant material, including the guidelines on the subject drawn up by IBCR.

(d) Access to Justice in Matters related to protection of environment and natural resources.

This provision addresses the special status of child victims, on the basis of article 6 of the Protocol, as well as the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Guidelines on Justice in Matters involving Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime also provide guidance on this matter.

(36) The Committee encourages the State party to be guided by the Guidelines on Justice in Matters involving Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime (Economic and Social Council resolution 2005/20), and urges it in particular:

It further recommends that the State party be guided in this respect by the United Nations Guidelines on Justice in Matters involving Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime (Economic and Social Council resolution 2005/20).
كما أنها توصي الدولة الطرف بأن تسترشد في هذا الصدد بمبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية المتعلقة بتوفير العدالة في المسائل التي تشمل الأطفال ضحايا الجريمة والشهود عليها (قرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 2005/20).

The Chairperson of the Intergovernmental Expert Group Meeting to Develop Guidelines on Justice in Matters involving Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime noted that the proposed guidelines that had been agreed upon by the Group represented an important step in the advancement of the rights of children in the criminal justice system.
132- ولاحظت رئيسة اجتماع فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المعني بصوغ مبادئ توجيهية بشأن توفير العدالة في المسائل التي تشمل الأطفال ضحايا الجريمة والشهود عليها أن المبادئ التوجيهية المقترحة التي اتفق عليها الفريق تمثل خطوة هامة نحو تعزيز حقوق الأطفال في نظام العدالة الجنائية.

Pursuant to resolution 2004/27, the Intergovernmental Expert Group Meeting to Develop Guidelines on Justice in Matters involving Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime met in Vienna on 15 and 16 March 2005.
