Key activities that have been undertaken include: the first extraordinary meeting of the Conference of the Parties to adopt a protocol on biosafety; the fourth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice; and the inter-sessional meeting on the operations of the Convention.
