Decides to establish an Adaptation Committee under the Convention in order to provide coherence in the implementation of the enhanced action on adaptation under the Convention , which shall operate, inter alia:
يقرر إنشاء لجنة للتكيف في إطار الاتفاقية لضمان الاتساق في تنفيذ العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتكيف في إطار الاتفاقية، والتي سيغطي عملها، في جملة أمور، ما يلي:

6. That action on adaptation shall be enhanced pursuant to the provisions on enhanced action on adaptation presented in chapter II.

3. The scope of enhanced action on adaptation (chapter II, para. 1; chapter I, paras. 5 - 6 bis).

Parties agree that enhanced action on adaptation is urgently required to enable, support and implement action to reduce vulnerability and build resilience to the impacts of climate change.
1- توافق الأطراف على أن العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتكيف مطلوب على وجه السرعة لإتاحة اتخاذ إجراءات للحد من القابلية للتأثر وبناء القدرة على تحمل تأثيرات تغيّر المناخ ودعم هذه الإجراءات وتنفيذها.

17. The COP further established, as part of the Cancun Adaptation Framework, an Adaptation Committee to promote the implementation of enhanced action on adaptation in a coherent manner under the Convention through, inter alia, the functions referred to in decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 20(a) - (e).
17- وأنشأ مؤتمر الأطراف أيضاً، ضمن إطار كانكون للتكيف، لجنة تكيف لدعم تنفيذ العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتكيف بأسلوب متسق بموجب الاتفاقية، بوسائل منها الوظائف المشار إليها في الفقرة 20(أ) - (ﻫ) من المقرر 1/م أ-16.

Recommend provisions for unifying modalities to measure, report and verify the support provided to developing country Parties for enhanced action on mitigation, and to monitor, report and review the support provided to developing country Parties for enhanced action on adaptation;
(د) يوصي بوضع أحكام لتوحيد طرائق قياس الدعم المقدم إلى البلدان النامية الأطراف من أجل العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتخفيف والإبلاغ عن هذا الدعم والتحقق منه، ولرصد الدعم المقدم إلى البلدان النامية الأطراف في إطار العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتكيف والإبلاغ عن هذا الدعم واستعراضه؛

(d) Recommend provisions for unifying modalities to measure, report and verify the support provided to developing country Parties for enhanced action on mitigation, and to monitor, report and review the support provided to developing country Parties for enhanced action on adaptation;
(د) يوصي بوضع أحكام لتوحيد طرائق قياس الدعم المقدم إلى البلدان النامية الأطراف من أجل العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتخفيف وللإبلاغ عن هذا الدعم والتحقق منه، ولرصد الدعم المقدم إلى البلدان النامية الأطراف في إطار العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتكيف وللإبلاغ عن هذا الدعم واستعراضه؛

(د) يوصي بوضع أحكام لتوحيد طرائق قياس الدعم المقدم إلى البلدان النامية الأطراف من أجل العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتخفيف وللإبلاغ عن هذا الدعم والتحقق منه، ولرصد الدعم المقدم إلى البلدان النامية الأطراف في إطار العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتكيف وللإبلاغ عن هذا الدعم واستعراضه؛

The Adaptation Committee, noted the majority of Parties, should operate under the authority and guidance of, and be fully accountable to, the COP, as it was established to promote coherence in the implementation of enhanced action on adaptation across the Convention process, and its agreed functions span those of both the SBI and the SBSTA.
48- لاحظت أغلبية الأطراف أن لجنة التكيف ينبغي أن تعمل تحت إشراف وتوجيه مؤتمر الأطراف وأن تكون مسؤولة أمامه مسؤولية كاملة، لأن الغرض من إنشائها هو زيادة التناسق في تنفيذ العمل المعزز المتعلق بالتكيف في سياق عملية الاتفاقية بكاملها ولأن نطاق وظائفها المتفق عليها يشمل كلاًّ من وظائف الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ والهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية.
