In conclusion, he drew attention to the draft plan of Action entitled " Towards a society for all: Long-term Strategy to Implement the World Programme of Action concerning Disabled Persons to the Year 2000 and Beyond " , which was contained in the annex to the Secretary-General's report (A/49/435). The Strategy provided a framework for collaborative action in implementing the World Programme as well as the Standard Rules.

Another important aspect in implementing, at the international and regional levels, the goals set forth in the Plan of Action entitled " A world fit for children " , is to integrate a rights-based approach into the work of regional and global organizations such as UNICEF and other relevant bodies of the United Nations system.
