That is why the Group of 77 and China have sought, by introducing this draft resolution, to extend the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation beyond 2014, and to ensure its follow-up in order to fully meet its goals and objectives.

In response to such evidence, Governments are paying increasing attention to the gender-specific implications of policies and programmes and have begun to address urgent issues, as reflected in the recommendations of the Programme of Action and the key actions for the further implementation of the Programme of Action adopted by the General Assembly.

In general, the measures recommended in the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation provide a more comprehensive, explicit and detailed set of guidelines than those implied by the Millennium Development Goals.

Throughout the discussions, States expressed widespread support for the continuing centrality of the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation, in the period beyond 2014, taking into account the findings and recommendations of the 20-year review, including for the post-2015 development agenda and the sustainable development goals.

4. Emphasizes the need for the Population Division and the United Nations Population Fund, within their respective mandates, to enhance coordination and strengthen cooperation and collaboration between them to improve support for the implementation of the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation;

2. Stresses that the implementation of the Programme of Action and the key actions makes an essential contribution to the achievement of internationally agreed development goals, including those contained in the United Nations Millennium Declaration;8

10. Reiterates that international cooperation in the field of population and development is essential for the implementation of the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation and for the attainment of its goals by 2015, and calls upon the international community to continue to provide, both bilaterally and multilaterally, support and assistance for population and development activities in the developing countries;
10 - تؤكد مرة أخرى أن التعاون الدولي في مجال السكان والتنمية أساسي لتنفيذ برنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه، ولبلوغ أهداف البرنامج بحلول عام 2015، وتطلب من المجتمع الدولي مواصلة تقديم الدعم والمساعدة، على الصعيدين الثنائي والمتعدد الأطراف، لأنشطة السكان والتنمية في البلدان النامية؛

(c) Reiterates the need to conduct periodically comprehensive reviews and appraisals of the implementation of the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation;

Recalling resolution 65/234 adopted by the General Assembly on 22 December 2010 on the follow-up to the International Conference on Population and Development beyond 2014, in which the Assembly decided to extend the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation beyond 2014 and ensure its follow-up in order to fully meet its goals and objectives,
وإذ تشير إلى القرار 65/234 الذي اعتمدته الجمعية العامة في 22 كانون الأول/ ديسمبر 2010 بشأن متابعة نتائج المؤتمر الدولي للسكان والتنمية إلى ما بعد عام 2014 والذي قررت فيه تمديد برنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه إلى ما بعد عام 2014، وكفالة متابعته بغرض تحقيق غاياته وأهدافه كاملة.

24. Calls upon the United Nations Population Fund to continue to play a crucial role, within its mandate, in assisting countries, based on their needs and in consultation with them, in achieving the goals and objectives contained in the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation beyond 2014;
24 - تهيب بصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان أن يواصل، في حدود ولايته، الاضطلاع بدور حاسم في مساعدة البلدان، حسب احتياجاتها وبالتشاور معها، على تحقيق الأهداف والغايات المحددة في برنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه في ما بعد عام 2014؛

2. Decides to extend the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation2 beyond 2014 and ensure its follow-up in order to fully meet its goals and objectives;
2 - تقرر تمديد برنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه(2) إلى ما بعد عام 2014، وتكفل متابعته بغرض تحقيق غاياته وأهدافه كاملة؛

3. Welcomes the decision of the General Assembly in its resolution 65/234 of 22 December 2010 to extend the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation4 beyond 2014 and ensure its follow-up in order to fully meet its goals and objectives;
3 - ترحب بما قررته الجمعية العامة في قرارها 65/234 المؤرخ 22 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2010 بتمديد برنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه(4) لما بعد عام 2014 وكفالة متابعته بغية التنفيذ التام لأهدافه ومقاصده؛

2. Also reaffirms its strong commitment to the full implementation of the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation agreed at the five-year review of the Programme of Action, and the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and its Programme of Action;
2 - تؤكد من جديد أيضا التزامها الشديد بالتنفيذ الكامل لبرنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه المتفق عليها في الاستعراض الذي يجري كل خمس سنوات لبرنامج العمل، وإعلان وبرنامج عمل كوبنهاغن للتنمية الاجتماعية()؛

Given the crucial importance of population factors for development, the full implementation of the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation3 will significantly contribute to the achievement of the universally agreed development goals, including those in the Millennium Declaration.
ونظرا للأهمية الحاسمة التي تكتسيها العوامل السكانية، فإن التنفيذ الكامل لبرنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه(3) سيسهم بشكل ملموس في تحقيق الأهداف الإنمائية المتفق عليها دوليا، بما فيها تلك الواردة في إعلان الألفية.

21. Emphasizes the importance of building and sustaining partnerships among Governments and relevant civil society stakeholders for the successful implementation of the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation beyond 2014, and invites all Governments and relevant organizations of the United Nations system, as well as the private sector and non-governmental organizations, to continue to support these activities;
21 - تؤكد أهمية بناء وإدامة الشراكات فيما بين الحكومات والجهات المعنية في المجتمع المدني من أجل التنفيذ الناجح لبرنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه ما بعد عام 2014، وتدعو جميع الحكومات والمنظمات المعنية التابعة لمنظومة الأمم المتحدة، ومعها منظمات القطاع الخاص والمنظمات غير الحكومية، إلى مواصلة دعم هذه الأنشطة؛

10. The Bureau recalled that on 22 December 2010, the General Assembly adopted resolution 65/234 on " Follow-up to the International Conference on Population and Development beyond 2014 " , in which it decided to extend the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation beyond 2014 and ensure its follow-up in order to fully meet its goals and objectives.
10 - ذكّر المكتب بأن الجمعية العامة قد اعتمدت في 22 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2010 القرار 65/234 المتعلق بموضوع " متابعة المؤتمر الدولي للسكان والتنمية إلى ما بعد عام 2014 " ، الذي قررت فيه تمديد برنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه إلى ما بعد عام 2014، وكفالة متابعته بغرض تحقيق غاياته وأهدافه كاملة.

3. We recognize the need for the full implementation of the Programme of Action and the key actions for its further implementation and acknowledge the findings and recommendations of the review (A/69/62), including from the global thematic meetings on youth, human rights and women's health, as well as the outcomes of the regional reviews, which constitute plans of action for the respective regions.
3 - وندرك الحاجة إلى التنفيذ الكامل لبرنامج العمل والإجراءات الأساسية لمواصلة تنفيذه، ونقر بالنتائج والتوصيات المنبثقة عن الاستعراض (A/69/62)، بما في ذلك من الاجتماعات المواضيعية العالمية بشأن الشباب وحقوق الإنسان وصحة المرأة، بالإضافة إلى نتائج عمليات الاستعراض الإقليمية، التي تشكل خطط العمل للمناطق المعنية.
