670. The Committee recommends that the State party review legislation with regard to corporal punishment of children within the family in order to effectively ban all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse.
٠٧٦ - وتوصي اللجنة بأن تقوم الدولة الطرف بإعادة النظر في القانون بخصوص معاقبة اﻷطفال بدنيا داخل اﻷسرة من أجل التمكن فعليا من حظر كافة أشكال العنف البدني أو العقلي أو الضرر أو التعدي على اﻷطفال.

243. The Committee recommends that the State party review legislation with regard to corporal punishment of children within the family in order to effectively ban all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse.
٣٤٢- وتوصي اللجنة بأن تقوم الدولة الطرف بإعادة النظر في القانون بخصوص معاقبة اﻷطفال بدنياً داخل اﻷسرة من أجل التمكن فعلياً من حظر كافة أشكال العنف البدني أو العقلي أو الضرر أو التعدي على اﻷطفال.

47. Article 6 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child consecrates as an inherent right of the child the right to life, survival and development and article 19, paragraph 1, requests States parties to take all appropriate measures to protect the child from all forms of physical or mental violence.
47- وتؤكد المادة 6 من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل أن لكل طفل حقاً أصيلاً في الحياة والبقاء والنمو، وتطلب الفقرة 1 من المادة 19 من الاتفاقية إلى الدول الأطراف أن تتخذ جميع التدابير التشريعية والإدارية والاجتماعية والتعليمية الملائمة لحماية الطفل من كافة أشكال العنف البدني أو العقلي.

35. The Committee recommends that special attention be given to the problems of ill-treatment and abuse, including sexual abuse, of children within the family and corporal punishment in schools, and stresses the need for information and education campaigns to prevent and combat the use of any form of physical or mental violence on children, in accordance with article 19 of the Convention.
٥٣- وتوصي اللجنة بإيلاء اهتمام خاص لمشاكل اﻷطفال المتعلقة بسوء معاملتهم واﻹساءة إليهم في محيط اﻷسرة، والعقوبة البدنية في المدارس، وتشدد على ضرورة شن حملات إعلامية وتثقيفية لمنع ومكافحة استخدام أي شكل من العنف البدني أو العقلي مع اﻷطفال، وفقا للمادة ٩١ من الاتفاقية.

2. Take appropriate legislative, administrative, social and educational measures to protect the girl child, in the household and in society, from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse;

In its General Comment No. 8, the Committee on the Rights of the Child indicated that " There is no ambiguity: `all forms of physical or mental violence'does not leave room for any level of legalized violence against children " (CRC/C/GC/8, para. 18).

JS1 considered that the position of the Government regarding corporal punishment was ambiguous and recommended the introduction of a new legal provision specifically prohibiting humiliating treatment or any form of physical or mental violence against children.
