Mr. Kotze (South Africa) said that the modernization and harmonization of international trade law by the reduction or removal of legal obstacles to the flow of trade would contribute significantly to universal economic cooperation on a basis of equality, equity, common interest and respect for the rule of law; eliminate discrimination in international trade; and foster peace, stability and the well-being of all.
