States parties to the Convention undertake not to develop, produce, stockpile, or in any way acquire or retain biological agents or toxins of types and in quantities that have no justification for prophylactic, protective or other peaceful purposes.
وتتعهد الدول اﻷطراف في الاتفاقية بألا تعمد الى استحداث العوامل البيولوجية أو التكسينات أو إنتاجها أو تخزينها أو اقتنائها على أي نحو أو الاحتفاظ بها اذا كانت من أنواع وبكميات لا مبرر لها ﻷغراض الوقاية أو الحماية أو غير ذلك من اﻷغراض السلمية.

25. The Biological Weapons Act 1984 bans the development, production, stockpiling, acquisition and retention of microbial or other biological agents or toxins.
