In addition, the Committee notes that the training and retraining of professionals working with, and for, children is not systematic but more on an ad hoc basis.

21. The Committee recommends systematic training on the Convention and the Child Rights Act for all professional groups working with and for children, with priority given to police, judges, prison staff, personnel of child care institutions, including through the necessary revision of training manuals and operative procedures.

(a) Strengthen its efforts to provide adequate and systematic training and/or sensitization on children's rights to professional groups working with and for children, in particular law enforcement officials, as well as parliamentarians, judges, lawyers, health personnel, teachers, school administrators and others as required.
(أ) تعزز جهودها الرامية إلى توفير التدريب الكافي والمنهجي و/أو أنشطة التوعية بشأن حقوق الطفل لفائدة جميع الفئات المهنية العاملة مع الأطفال ومن أجلهم، كالموظفين المكلفين بإنفاذ القوانين والبرلمانيين والقضاة والمحامين والموظفين الصحيين والمدرسين ومديري المدارس وغيرها من الفئات، بحسب ما تقتضيه الحاجة.

It regrets however the lack of information on whether the professional groups working with and for children, including members of the National Child Protection Committee; civil servants working on children's rights at the Ministries of Health, Justice, and Interior; police; social workers, as well as judges and prosecutors, receive systematic, adequate and targeted training specifically on the provisions of the Optional Protocol.

In this regard, the Committee recommends the reinforcement of adequate and systematic training and/or sensitization of professional groups working with and for children, such as judges, lawyers, law enforcement personnel, teachers, school administrators, health personnel, including psychologists and social workers, and personnel of childcare institutions.

However, it is concerned that professionals working with and for children, as well as children and parents themselves, have limited awareness and understanding of the Convention in the Hong Kong SAR and on the mainland.
إلا أنها تشعر بالقلق إزاء محدودية الوعي بالاتفاقية، والإلمام بأحكامها، في صفوف الفئات المهنية العاملة مع الأطفال ومن أجلهم، وكذلك فـي صفوف الأطفال والآباء أنفسهم، فـي منطقـة هونغ كونغ الإدارية الخاصة وفـي الصين القارية.
