32. The preparatory meeting was opened by Mr. David Weissbrodt, Chairperson of the Sub-Commission at its fifty-third session, who made a statement.

In view of the fact that it has not been possible to collect the comments, information and data referred to above in the time available for the preparation of documents for the fiftysecond session, the Special Rapporteur proposes to submit her progress report on terrorism and human rights to the Sub-Commission at its fifty-third session.

The Committee noted the important role of international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations and their contribution to its endeavours to promote the development of space law and endorsed the recommendation of the Subcommittee that such organizations should again be invited to report to the Subcommittee at its fifty-third session on their activities relating to space law.
199- ونوّهت اللجنة بأهمية الدور الذي تؤديه المنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمنظمات غير الحكومية وبمساهمة هذه المنظمات في مساعيها الرامية إلى النهوض بتطوير قانون الفضاء، وأيّدت توصية اللجنة الفرعية بدعوة هذه المنظمات مجدّداً إلى تقديم تقارير عن أنشطتها المتعلقة بقانون الفضاء إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الثالثة والخمسين.

The Subcommittee agreed that it was important to continue the exchange of information on recent developments in the area of space law between the Subcommittee and international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, and that such organizations should again be invited to report to the Subcommittee at its fifty-third session on their activities relating to space law.
59- واتفقت اللجنة الفرعية على أنَّ من المهم مواصلة تبادل المعلومات عن التطوّرات الأخيرة في مجال قانون الفضاء بين اللجنة الفرعية والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمنظمات غير الحكومية، وعلى أن تُدعى تلك المنظمات مجدَّداً إلى تقديم تقارير عن أنشطتها المتعلقة بقانون الفضاء إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الثالثة والخمسين.
