(bb) The programmes of action for both decades should take into account the many major events that are being planned during the period by the United Nations, such as the International Conference on Population and Development, the International Year of the Family, the World Summit on Social Development, the fourth World Conference on Women, and the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations.
