12. The Preparatory Committee recommends requesting the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to review progress achieved since the Summit in the ratification and implementation of existing international conventions and covenants to promote and protect all human rights and fundamental freedoms.
١٢ - توصي اللجنة التحضيرية بأن يطلب إلى مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان أن يستعرض التقدم المحرز منذ مؤتمر القمة العالمي في مجال التصديق على الاتفاقيات والعهود الدولية القائمة لتعزيز وحماية جميع حقوق اﻹنسان والحريات اﻷساسية، وتنفيذها.

His delegation trusted that the high-level discussion at the recent session would help the Preparatory Committee for the World Summit to prepare for that meeting and to draft appropriate recommendations.
