Noting the stabilizing role of the Collective Peace-keeping Forces in preventing armed clashes, ensuring the safety of the population and creating the appropriate conditions for continuing the Georgian-Abkhaz dialogue,

Considering that the objectives of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces in the Republic of Tajikistan have been fulfilled,
وإذ يضع في اعتباره أن مهام القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام في جمهورية طاجيكستان قد أنجزت،

Throughout that period, my Special Representative and the leadership of UNOMIG maintained regular contacts with both sides, with the representatives of the Group of Friends of the Secretary-General and with the leadership of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
وطوال هذه الفترة، أقام ممثلي الخاص وقادة البعثة اتصالات منتظمة مع كلا الجانبين، ومع ممثلي فريق أصدقاء الأمين العام، ومع قادة القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام التابعة لرابطة الدول المستقلة.

9. The duties of the Commander of the Collective Peace-keeping Forces shall include:
٩ - يدخل في مهام قائد القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام ما يلي:

Supervision of the Collective Peace-keeping Forces and the Group of Military Observers in the preparation and conduct of the peace-keeping operation in the conflict zone;
- قيادة القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام وفريق المراقبين العسكريين لدى إعداد وتنفيذ عملية حفظ السلام في منطقة النزاع؛

Administration of the financial, material and technical resources allocated for maintaining the Collective Peace-keeping Forces and the Group of Military Observers.
- التصرف في الموارد المالية والمادية والتقنية المخصصة ﻹمداد القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام وفريق المراقبين العسكريين.

1. To extend the length of stay and mandate of the Collective Peace-keeping Forces in the conflict zone in Abkhazia, Georgia, until 31 December 2001 or until such time as one of the parties to the conflict declares that it is in favour of halting the operation.
1 - تمديد فترة بقاء وولاية القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام في منطقة النزاع في أبخازيا بجورجيا حتى 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001، أو إلى أن يدعو أحد طرفي النزاع إلى وقف العمليات.

In view of the need to ensure lasting peace and stability both in Tajikistan and in the Central Asian region as a whole, our Republic is participating directly in the Collective Peace-keeping Forces of the States members of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Tajikistan.
وانطلاقا من ضرورة ضمان السلام الوطيد والاستقرار لا في هذا البلد فحسب بل في منطقة آسيا الوسطى بأسرها تشارك جمهوريتنا بصورة مباشرة في القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام التابعة للدول اﻷعضاء في رابطة الدول المستقلة في جمهورية طاجيكستان.

Taking into consideration the request by the Abkhaz side of 12 April 1995 and by the Georgian side of 20 April 1995 to extend the length of stay of the Collective Peace-keeping Forces in the conflict zone,
ومراعاة للطلب الذي قدمه الطرف اﻷبخازي في ١٢ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٥ والطرف الجورجي في ٢٠ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٥ بشأن تمديد فترة إقامة القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام في منطقة النزاع،

To extend the length of stay of the Collective Peace-keeping Forces in the conflict zone in Abkhazia, Republic of Georgia, until 31 December 1995.
تمديد فترة إقامة القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام في منطقة النزاع في أبخازيا بجمهورية جورجيا لغاية ٣١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٥،

By decision of the Commander of these forces and following agreement with the leadership of the two parties to the conflict, the Collective Peace-keeping Forces and the Group of Military Observers may also address other tasks in the course of the operation in the conflict zone, seeking through such initiatives to promote and strengthen peace between the opposing sides.
ويمكن أيضا أن تتولى القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام وفريق المراقبين العسكريين، بقرار من قائد هذه القوات وبعد التشاور مع قيادة الطرفين المتحاربين، حل مشاكل أخرى أثناء قيامها بالعملية في منطقة النزاع، مسترشدة في ذلك بالحرص على ضمان السلام وتعزيزه بين الطرفين المتحاربين.

In respect of questions requiring a rapid decision, he shall consult with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the States members of the Commonwealth and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Defence of the States Members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, directly supervise the conduct of peace-keeping operations and be the direct head of the entire personnel of the Collective Peace-keeping Forces.
ويقوم، في المسائل التي تتطلب قرارا تنفيذيا، بالتشاور مع رئيس مجلس وزراء خارجية الدول أعضاء الرابطة ورئيس مجلس وزراء دفاع الدول المشاركة في رابطة الدول المستقلة، كما يتولى القيادة المباشرة لتنفيذ عملية حفظ السلام، وهو اﻵمر المباشر لجميع أفراد القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام.

In connection with the appeal by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for an end to the operation of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces in the Republic of Tajikistan and their disbandment,
إذ يضع في اعتباره ما أعلنه رئيس جمهورية طاجيكستان من وقف لعمليات القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام في جمهورية طاجيكستان وتسريح هذه القوات،

Welcoming further the maintenance of close contact by the United Nations Mission of Observers in Tajikistan (UNMOT) with the parties, as well as its cooperative liaison with the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the Commonwealth of Independent States (the CIS Peacekeeping Forces), the Russian border forces and the Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE),
وإذ يرحب كذلك بمداومة بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في طاجيكستان على الاتصال الوثيق بالطرفين، وكذلك بصلة التعاون القائمة بينها وبين القوات المشتركة لحفظ السلام التابعة لرابطة الدول المستقلة، وقوات الحدود الروسية، وبعثة منظمة اﻷمن والتعاون في أوروبا،

To end the operation in the Republic of Tajikistan of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces which were formed in accordance with the decision of the Heads of the States Members of the Commonwealth of Independent States on the establishment of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces and the start of their operation of 24 September 1993, and to proceed to disband them.
