5. When laying submarine cables or pipelines, States shall have due regard to cables or pipelines already in position.

(e) Planning and development of maritime transport, management of ports and installation of submarine cables and pipelines;

1. All States are entitled to lay submarine cables and pipelines on the continental shelf, in accordance with the provisions of this article.
١ - يحق لجميع الدول وضع الكابلات وخطوط اﻷنابيب المغمورة على الجرف القاري، وفقا ﻷحكام هذه المادة.

The Latin American and Caribbean countries were fully aware of the importance of the sea for purposes of communications, navigation, overflight, and for the laying of cables and pipelines.
لقد كانت مجموعة دول أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي على دراية كاملة بأهمية البحار لأغراض الاتصالات والملاحة والتحليق الفوقي، وبغرض مد الكابلات وخطوط الأنابيب.

With respect to the laying of marine cables and pipelines on the part of the continental shelf belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran, it should be clarified that there is no customary rule limiting the right of coastal States in this respect.
٦ - وفيما يتعلق بوضع الكابلات وخطوط اﻷنابيب البحرية على جانب الجرف القاري الخاص بجمهورية إيران اﻹسلامية فإنه ينبغي توضيح أنه لا توجد قاعدة عرفية تحد من حق الدول الساحلية في هذا الشأن.

Shipping can have distributed impacts, while seafloor drilling and mining, the laying of cables and pipelines, marine scientific research and commercially oriented activities relating to genetic resources, as well as tourism can have local impacts.

19 - باء - التلوث والأذى المادي المحتمل حدوثه بسبب الكابلات وخطوط الأنابيب - أثناء إقامتها/تركيبها - أثناء استخدامها - بعد إزالتها.

They held that the non-exhaustive list of high seas freedoms set out in the Convention was not restricted to activities in the water column but also included activities involving or impacting the seabed and subsoil, such as the laying of cables and pipelines, the construction of artificial islands and installations and, in some cases, fishing practices and scientific research.

The coastal State may adopt laws and regulations related to innocent passage, including in respect of the safety of navigation, the protection of cables and pipelines and the protection of the marine environment, for example through the designation of sea lanes and traffic separation schemes around renewable energy facilities (articles 21-22).
وللدولة الساحلية أن تعتمد قوانين وأنظمة بشأن المرور البريء، تتناول أمورا منها سلامة الملاحة، وحماية الكابلات وخطوط الأنابيب، وحماية البيئة البحرية، بسبل منها على سبيل المثال تصميم ممرات بحرية ونظم لتقسيم حركة المرور حول مرافق الطاقة المتجددة (المادتان 21 و 22).

32. The laying of submarine cables and pipelines and the construction of other installations permitted under international law also fall under the freedom of the high seas, subject to Part VI on the continental shelf (articles 87 and 112).

تلتزم دولة العلم بضمان إيلاء سفنها عند وضع الكابلات وخطوط الأنابيب المغمورة، المراعاة الواجبة للكابلات أو خطوط الأنابيب الموضوعة من قبل. وينبغي بوجه خاص عدم الإضرار بإمكانيات تصليح الكابلات أو خطوط الأنابيب الموجودة فعلا.
