In the context of the continuing efforts of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Electricity to complete and strengthen the Arab electricity grid so that it covers all Arab States,

2. To affirm the importance of ensuring that institutional and legal frameworks in Arab States conform to the requirements of Arab electricity grid projects as regards conditions and standard specifications, so that their grids can be interconnected with those of neighbouring States; and the importance of acting without delay to establish a coordinating monitoring centre for States for which interconnection is a reality;
التأكيد على أهمية مواءمة الأطر المؤسسية والقانونية بالدول العربية مع ما تتطلبه مشروعات الربط الكهربائي العربي من اشتراطات ومواصفات قياسية، تمكنها من ربط شبكاتها الكهربائية مع شبكات الدول المجاورة، وكذلك الإسراع في إقامة مركز المراقبة التنسيقي للدول التي اكتمل ربطها.

4. Arab electricity linkage projects:
4 - مشروعات الربط الكهربائي العربي:

- The executive measures that have been taken with a view to the financing by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and the World Bank of a study on linking all the Arab electricity grids and evaluating the use of natural gas to produce electricity.
- الخطوات التنفيذية التي تم إنجازها بشأن تمويل " دراسة الربط الكهربائي العربي الشامل وتقييم استغلال الغاز الطبيعي لتصدير الكهرباء " من قبل الصندوق العربي للإنماء الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والبنك الدولي.

We affirm the importance of cooperation and coordination in all fields of development, particularly in respect of the Arab road link, Arab electricity grid, uses of renewable energy, the green belt project and other projects in which the Arab States have made progress and which require building on achievements.

Having studied the report on follow-up to resolutions 212, 236 and 311 of the 13th, 14th and 17th sessions, respectively, on the completion and enhancement of the Arab electricity grid and creation of an Arab energy market,
بعد إطلاعه على تقرير المتابعة للقرارات أرقام (212)، (236)، (311) الصادرة عن دوراته (13)، (14)، (17) على التوالي بشأن استكمال الربط الكهربائي العربي وتقويته، والعمل على إنشاء سوق عربية للطاقة،

c. To note the World Bank's completion of the third part of a comprehensive study on Arab electricity linkage and evaluation of the exploitation of natural gas for the export of electricity, and the publication of the World Bank report on the first stage of a study on the legal, institutional and legislative frameworks for the soon-to-be established common Arab electricity market.
ج - الإحاطة علماً بتنفيذ البنك الدولي للجزء الثالث من دراسة الربط الكهربائي العربي الشامل وتقييم استغلال الغاز الطبيعي لتصدير الكهرباء، وصدور تقرير البنك الدولي حول المرحلة الأولى من دراسة الأطر القانونية والمؤسسية والتشريعية لقيام السوق العربية المشتركة للكهرباء قريباً.

To support the collaboration between the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity and AFESD to conduct a study on the comprehensive Arab electricity grid and evaluation of the use of natural gas to generate electricity, and to call upon both to expedite the study;
