8. Requests the Secretary-General to complete the implementation of the recommendations emanating from the after-action review of storm Sandy, to finalize the global information technology disaster recovery plan and assessment and to comprehensively address the weaknesses identified in the area of business continuity during the storm and to report thereon in the context of the next progress report;

30. The Advisory Committee recommends that the General Assembly request the Secretary-General to complete the implementation of the recommendations emanating from the after-action review, to finalize the above-mentioned global information technology disaster recovery plan and assessment and to comprehensively address the weaknesses identified in the area of business continuity during the storm.

22. information technology disaster recovery is one of the core elements of the organizational resilience management system of the Secretariat, approved by the General Assembly in resolution 67/254 A. Recognizing that progress must be made in disaster recovery in the Organization, the Secretary-General proposes to strengthen the process in accordance with the decisions of the General Assembly and the recommendations of the Board of Auditors.
٢٢ - وتعد استعادة القدرة على العمل بعد الكوارث في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات أحد العناصر الأساسية في نظام إدارة قدرة المنظمة على مواجهة الطوارئ في الأمانة العامة، الذي وافقت عليه الجمعية العامة في القرار 67/254 ألف. وإذ يسلّم الأمين العام بضرورة إحراز تقدم في مجال استعادة القدرة على العمل بعد الكوارث في المنظمة، فإنه يقترح تعزيز العملية وفقا لمقررات الجمعية العامة وتوصيات مجلس مراجعي الحسابات.
