The work programme of the Standing Committee on Developing Services Sectors envisages activities aimed, in particular, at assisting developing countries in developing and strengthening their competitive service sectors, and increasing their exports of services.
ويتوخى برنامج عمل اللجنة الدائمة المعنية بتطوير قطاعات الخدمات الاضطلاع بأنشطة ترمي، بصفة خاصة، الى مساعدة البلدان النامية في تنمية وتعزيز قطاعات الخدمات القادرة على المنافسة فيها، وزيادة صادراتها من الخدمات.

12. The Board's Standing Committee on Developing Services Sectors, which deals with services in general, shipping and insurance, has adopted work programmes containing the following elements relevant to the implementation of Agenda 21:

1. The Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Ports met from 18 to 22 March 1996 at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, further to the recommendation made by the Standing Committee on Developing Services Sectors: Shipping at its second session in July 1994, which was subsequently endorsed by the Trade and Development Board.
١- اجتمــع فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المعني بالموانئ في الفترة من ٨١ إلى ٢٢ آذار/مارس ٦٩٩١ في قصــر اﻷمــم بجنيف، إثر التوصية التي قدمتها اللجنة الدائمة المعنية بتطوير قطاعات الخدمات: النقل البحــري، فــي دورتهــا الثانية المعقودة في تموز/يوليه ٤٩٩١ والتي أيدها مجلس التجارة والتنمية فيما بعد.

On the other hand, many specific trade and trade-related matters have been considered by the newly established intergovernmental organs of UNCTAD, particularly the Standing Committee on Developing Services Sectors and the Ad Hoc Working Group on Expansion of Trading Opportunities for Developing Countries.
٦ - ومن ناحية أخرى، نظرت اﻷجهزة الحكومية الدولية التابعة لﻷونكتاد التي أنشئت حديثا، لا سيما اللجنة الدائمة المعنية بتطوير قطاعات الخدمات: والفريق العامل المخصص لتوسيع الفرص التجارية المتاحة للبلدان النامية، في العديد من المسائل التجارية المحددة والمسائل المتصلة بالتجارة.

The Ad Hoc Working Group did not examine trading opportunities in the services sectors, as it was considered that this task was being carried out by the Standing Committee on Developing Services Sectors: Fostering Competitive Services Sectors in Developing Countries.
ولم يبحث الفريق العامل المخصص الفرص التجارية في قطاعات الخدمات حيث تبين أنه يجري الاضطلاع بهذه المهمة في اللجنة الدائمة المعنية بتطوير قطاعات الخدمات: تعزيز قطاعات الخدمات القادرة على المنافسة لدى البلدان النامية.

The basis for this cooperation was laid at the meeting of the IMO Council in June 1994 and subsequently taken note of by the UNCTAD Standing Committee on Developing Services Sectors: Shipping in July 1994.
وقد أرسيت قواعد هذا التعاون في اجتماع مجلس المنظمة البحرية الدولية في حزيران/يونية ١٩٩٤، وبعد ذلك أحاطت به علما اللجنة الدائمة المعنية بتطوير قطاعات الخدمات التابعة للاونكتاد: النقل البحري في تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٤.
