He recalled that General Assembly resolution 45/248 B reaffirmed that the Fifth Committee was the appropriate Main Committee of the General Assembly entrusted with responsibilities for administrative and budgetary matters and expressed concern at the tendency of substantive committees and other intergovernmental bodies to involve themselves in such matters.

Attention is drawn to General Assembly resolution 45/248 B, in which the Assembly reaffirmed that the Fifth Committee was the appropriate Main Committee of the Assembly entrusted with the responsibilities for administrative and budgetary matters, and reaffirmed the role of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions.
11 - يوجه النظر إلى قرار الجمعية العامة 45/248 باء الذي أعادت فيه الجمعية العامة التأكيد على أن اللجنة الخامسة هي اللجنة الرئيسية المناسبة التابعة للجمعية العامة والمكلفة بالمسؤوليات عن المسائل الخاصة بالإدارة والميزانية وأعادت فيه التأكيد على دور اللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون الإدارة والميزانية.
