132. In its resolution 1997/22, the Commission decided to invite the Chairman of the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session to report to the Commission at its fifty-fourth session on significant aspects of the work of the Sub-Commission.
٢٣١- وقد قررت اللجنة، في قرارها ٧٩٩١/٢٢، أن تدعو رئيس اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين إلى تقديم تقرير إلى لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين عن الجوانب الهامة لعمل اللجنة الفرعية.

The working paper (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1997/17) was submitted to the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session.
وقد قُدﱢمت ورقة العمل )E/CN.4/Sub.2/1997/17( إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

281. at its fortyninth session, the SubCommission adopted resolution 1997/34 entitled " Respect for humanitarian and human rights law provisions in United Nations peacekeeping operations " .

The Commission requested the Chairman of the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session to report to the Commission at its fifty-fourth session on significant aspects of the work of the Sub-Commission.
٤- وطلبت اللجنة من رئيس اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين أن يقدم تقريراً إلى لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين عن الجوانب الهامة لعمل اللجنة الفرعية.

2. Requests the Special Rapporteur to submit her final report to the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session in conformity with the plan contained in her working paper (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1995/38);
٢- تطلب من المقررة الخاصة أن تقدم تقريرها النهائي إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين عملا بالخطة الواردة في وثيقة العمل التي أعدتها (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1995/38)؛

While there is preliminary information about the widespread occurrence of systematic rape, sexual slavery and slavery-like practices during periods of armed conflict, a more thorough and comprehensive study is required, which will be submitted by the Special Rapporteur in her final report to the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session.

121. The attention of the Commission is also drawn to resolution 1997/5 adopted by the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session (see E/CN.4/1998/2-E/CN.4/Sub.2/1997/50, chap. II).

44. In discussing this item, the Sub-Commission may also wish to take into account the following resolutions and decisions adopted by the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session, by the General Assembly at its fifty—second session, and by the Commission on Human Rights at its fifty-fourth session:

(b) To submit a report on the information gathered to the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session, together with any recommendations and views which he may have received on effective ways and means of eliminating such weapons;

24. The members of the Sub-Commission are invited to consider the present report, with a view to proposing further elements that could enhance the drafting of guidelines on international events and forced evictions for the consideration of the Sub-Commission at its forty-ninth session.
٤٢- وأعضاء اللجنة الفرعية مدعوون إلى النظر في هذا التقرير بهدف اقتراح عناصر أخرى يمكن أن تعزز صياغة المبادئ التوجيهية بشأن اﻷحداث الدولية وعمليات اﻹخلاء القسري لتنظر فيها اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين.

The Chair of the SubCommission at its forty-ninth session made a closing statement.
54- ألقى رئيسُ اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة والأربعين كلمةً ختاميةً.

The Secretariat was requested to work with member States to finalize the topics to be discussed by the SubCommission at its forty-ninth session.
34- وطُلب إلى الأمانة أن تعمل مع الدول الأعضاء على إعداد الصيغة النهائية لهذين الموضوعين لكي تناقشهما اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة والأربعين.

Mr. Michael Banton, Chairman of CERD, in a letter dated 19 March 1997 (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1997/31), communicated these proposals to the Chairman of the Sub-Commission and requested that he present these proposals to the SubCommission at its forty-ninth session.
وقام السيد مايكل بانتن، رئيس لجنة القضاء على التمييز العنصري، في رسالة مؤرخة 19 آذار/مارس 1997 (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1997/31)، بإبلاغ رئيس اللجنة الفرعية بهذه المقترحات راجياً منه عرضها على اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها التاسعة والأربعين.

The Subcommittee agreed on the following items to be proposed to the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space for inclusion in the agenda of the Subcommittee at its forty-ninth session:
