99. At its fiftythird session, the SubCommission, in its resolution 2001/18, requested the Special Rapporteur to submit her second progress report to the SubCommission at its fiftyfourth session.

It also decided to request Mr. Alfonso Martínez to submit to the SubCommission at its fifty-fourth session a short working paper identifying the themes and possible outputs of such a seminar, for the consideration of the Commission at its fifty-ninth session.

Pursuant to a request contained in paragraph 2 of Sub-Commission resolution 2001/3, the SubCommission, at its fifty-fourth session, had before it a note by the secretariat transmitting research documents by Mr. Asbjørn Eide and Mr. David Weissbrodt on transnational corporations (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2002/11).
36- وعملاً بالطلب الوارد في الفقرة 2 من قرار اللجنة الفرعية 2001/3، عرضت على اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين مذكرة من إعداد الأمانة تحيل فيها وثائق البحوث التي أعدها السيد أسبيورن إيدي والسيد ديفيد فايسبروت بشأن الشركات عبر الوطنية (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2002/11).

The Committee noted the important role of international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations and their contribution to its endeavours to promote the development of space law and endorsed the recommendation of the Subcommittee that such organizations should again be invited to report to the Subcommittee at its fifty-fourth session on their activities relating to space law.
218- ونوَّهت اللجنة بأهمية الدور الذي تؤديه المنظمات الحكومية الدولية والمنظمات الدولية غير الحكومية وبمساهمة تلك المنظمات في مساعي اللجنة الرامية إلى تشجيع تطوير قانون الفضاء، وأقرَّت توصيةَ اللجنة الفرعية بأن تُدعى تلك المنظمات مجدَّداً إلى تقديم تقارير عن أنشطتها المتعلقة بقانون الفضاء إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين.
