The Council decided, in order to assist the Committee established pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999) and 1989 (2011) in fulfilling its mandate, as well as to support the Ombudsperson, to extend the mandate of the Monitoring Team and its members, established pursuant to paragraph 7 of resolution 1526 (2004), for a further period of 30 months.
