During its meetings with OIOS, the Committee followed up on this matter and noted that the overall vacancy rates for OIOS as at 31 May 2014 had edged slightly higher, at 15.4 per cent, compared with the 14 per cent reported by the Committee in its previous report (A/68/273).

In this regard, the Committee, in its previous report on cross-cutting issues in peacekeeping operations, noted that it had been informed that a more vigorous outreach campaign had been conducted and that a new request for proposals had been issued in February 2012 (A/66/718, para. 119).

The Advisory Committee welcomes the revisions made to the strategic framework for UNOWA for 2010 to better reflect strategic priorities for the mission, as well as improvements in the logical framework, as recommended by the Committee in its previous report on the financing of special political missions (A/63/593, para. 60).
