(8) بينما تحيط اللجنة علماً بتعديل قانون اللجوء في 20 كانون الثاني/يناير 2005، وذلك بحذف الحكم الذي ينص على تقديم طلب اللجوء كتابة، تأسف لانعدام الوضوح بشأن مجمل عدد الأشخاص الذين يلتمسون اللجوء في الدولة الطرف وكذلك إزاء انخفاض معدل حالات اللجوء التي اعترفت بها الدولة الطرف.
