In light of the adoption of resolution 1688 (2006), which exempted from the travel ban any witnesses whose presence would be required at the trial of former Liberian President Charles Taylor by the Special Court for Sierra Leone, the Committee sought, and received, the Special Court's agreement on how the Court would submit written notifications concerning the travel of those individuals.
