With regard to chapter V, he stressed that it was indispensable to ensure that assets of illicit origin derived from acts of corruption were returned effectively to the countries of origin without political conditionalities.

[(j) Identifying, freezing and tracing funds of illicit origin derived from acts of corruption;

كما قدّمت الأمانة إلى اللجنة المخصصة دراسة عالمية عن إحالة الأموال ذات المنشأ غير المشروع، ولا سيما الأموال المتأتية من أفعال فساد (A/AC.261/12)، وفقا لقرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 2001/13.

(d) States Parties shall afford one another mutual technical assistance in the revision of their respective financial laws with a view to eliminating any regulatory gaps that might permit the uncontrolled transfer of assets, including funds, of illicit origin derived from acts of corruption.
(د) تتبادل الدول الأطراف المساعدة التقنية في تنقيح قوانينها المالية بغية سد أية ثغرات تنظيمية قد تسمح بالنقل بلا مراقبة للموجودات، بما في ذلك الأموال، ذات المصدر غير المشروع المتأتية من أفعال فساد.

(c) Appropriate and efficient judicial and administrative mechanisms and methods for facilitating the repatriation of assets, including funds, of illicit origin derived from acts of corruption.,

3. When acting on the request made by another State Party in accordance with articles 11 and 12 of this Convention, a State Party may give special consideration to concluding agreements or arrangements on the return of funds derived from acts of corruption to their countries of origin in accordance with the provisions of article 19 of this Convention.
3- يجوز للدولة الطرف، عند اتخاذ إجراء بناء على طلب مقدم من دولة طرف أخرى وفقا للمادتين 11 و12 من هذه الاتفاقية، أن تنظر بعين الاعتبار الخاص في إبرام اتفاقات أو ترتيبات بشأن اعادة الأموال المتأتية من أفعال فساد إلى بلدانها الأصلية وفقا لأحكام المادة 19 من هذه الاتفاقية.

وكان معروضا على اللجنة المخصصة في دورتها الرابعة دراسة عالمية عن احالة الأموال ذات المنشأ غير المشروع، ولا سيما الأموال المتأتية من أفعال فساد (A/AC.261/12)، أعدت وفقا لقرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 2001/13 المؤرخ 24 تموز/يوليه 2001.
