Concerned that the progress made in the subregion in the areas of safety, security and stability may be undermined by the flow of illicit drugs from other subregions and the proceeds derived from the illicit drug trade, often fuelled by the activities of organized criminal groups,

3. The activities related to technical assistance and training for preventing and countering the laundering of assets derived from drug trafficking would take place within the context of the Global Programme Against Money-Laundering.
3- ومن المتوخى للأنشطة المتصلة بالمساعدة التقنية والتدريب في مجال منع ومكافحة غسل الموجودات المتأتّية من الاتجار بالمخدرات أن تُنفّذ في سياق البرنامج العالمي لمكافحة غسل الأموال.

Stressing the need for better cooperation in the recovery of assets derived from corruption, many speakers welcomed the achievement of the United Nations Convention against Corruption to include for the first time in an international legal instrument a comprehensive chapter on asset recovery.
