1. In its annual resolutions on " Oceans and the law of the sea " , the General Assembly continues to reaffirm the importance of the annual consideration and review of overall developments relating to ocean affairs and the law of the sea.
1 - تواصل الجمعية العامة، في قراراتها السنوية عن " المحيطات وقانون البحار " ، إعادة تأكيد أهمية القيام سنويا بدراسة واستعراض التطورات العامة المتصلة بشؤون المحيطات وقانون البحار.

In paragraph 23 the Secretary-General is requested to provide, for consideration by the General Assembly, an annual report, as from the fiftieth session, on developments pertaining to the implementation of the Convention, as well as on other developments relating to ocean affairs and the law of the sea and on the implementation of the proposed resolution.

1. The present report is submitted to the General Assembly in accordance with its resolution 49/28 of 6 December 1994, in which it requested the Secretary-General to report to it annually on developments pertaining to the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and on other developments relating to ocean affairs and the law of the sea.
